17.  Set up to animate the results.

Next, animate the solidification of the molten metal.  To better visualize the solidification process, specify three contours.  One will represent the molten metal (T greater than 2760 oF), one will represent the solidified metal (T less than 2630 oF), and the third will represent everything in between.

But first, to perform an animation, you must enter the General Postprocessor and read the first set of results.

  1. Main Menu:  General Postproc
         -Read Results-First Set
  2. Utility Menu:  PlotCtrls
         Numbering
  3. Turn off Node numbers 
  4. No numbering of the elements 
  5. Do not replot 
  6. OK 
  7. Utility Menu:  Plot
         Elements

  2. Enter 2630 to specify V1, the upper bound of the first contour 
  3. Enter 2760 to specify V2, the upper bound of the second contour 
  4. Enter 3000 to specify V3, the upper bound of the third contour 
  5. OK

Note that as indicated in the brackets at the upper left corner of the dialog box, the command to specify non_uniform contours is /CVAL.  You will later use this command to set the contours to their default setting.
